Privacy notice
For the website www.pipedesk.de. As of October 2026. This English version is a courtesy translation; only the German version is legally binding.
1. What this is about
This notice applies to the website www.pipedesk.de, on which we present the application PipeDesk. The application itself at app.pipedesk.de has its own privacy policy, which you can find at app.pipedesk.de/datenschutz. The website www.kanalkamera.de also has its own privacy policy.

3. Contact for data protection matters
For questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, you can reach us at privacy [at] kanalkamera.de or at the postal address given above.
4. Hosting
The website runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.
5. Visiting the website and server logs
When you visit the website, our servers process the data your browser transmits for technical reasons: IP address, time, requested page or file, result of the request, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and the identifier of your browser (user agent). We need this information to deliver the website, to ensure its operation, to detect attacks and to fix errors. The logs are deleted after 30 days unless they are needed longer in an individual case to investigate a security incident.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest is the secure and stable provision of the website.
6. Contact form
When you write to us via the contact form, we process the details you enter there: name, company or public authority, email address, phone number (optional) and your message, plus the time of receipt. We use this information solely to answer your enquiry and — if you wish — to prepare an offer or a pilot access.
The website does not store your details in a database. They are transmitted immediately and encrypted as an email via our hosting provider's mail server to the sales mailbox of GJS Inspektionssysteme GmbH and stored there for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship. We then delete them unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example for business correspondence under German commercial and tax law).
To protect against misuse, the form service keeps your IP address in memory for at most 15 minutes in order to limit the number of enquiries per sender; it is not stored permanently. A field that is invisible to humans helps to recognise automated submissions.
The information in the form is voluntary. Without name, company, email address and message, however, we cannot handle your enquiry. The data is not passed on to third parties; Hetzner processes it only as our processor.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry aims at concluding or performing a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest is answering enquiries and protecting the form against misuse.
7. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing else on your device. It uses no analytics, statistics or advertising services and embeds no content, scripts or fonts from other providers; everything is loaded from our own server. Consent under § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) is therefore not required, and there is no cookie banner.
8. Transfer to third countries
Your data is not transferred to countries outside the EU.
9. Your rights
You have the right
- to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to have incorrect data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR),
- to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR) — on grounds relating to your particular situation.
To do so, please contact the address given under no. 3. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA, Bavarian Data Protection Authority), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
